is a leading literary magazine of the Southern Appalachia Region, published by Berea College. Founded in 1973, keeps readers abreast of the visual and literary arts in the region. The mix of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry by both well-established writers and new writers keeps each issue fresh and entertaining for readers.
All courses must be taken in the order listed.
You will be required to attend one on-site residency each term on UMUC's campus in Adelphi, Maryland. These mandatory residencies are normally scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays and consist of two days of eight-hour, face-to-face classroom instruction. This time can include instructor-led lectures, guest lectures, cohort discussions, and presentations of class assignments. Residencies provide an excellent forum for discussion, peer support, networking, and deepened scholarship. The intensive, concentrated format leads to enhanced collegial bonds between students.
Prerequisite Course Information
Riley is a member of the Board of Directors of Church Mutual Insurance Company and chairman of its Audit Committee. Previously, he was chairman of the Audit Committee of the Architect of the Capitol and chairman of the Audit Committee for the Government Printing Office.
Master of Business Administration

Society for Human Resource Management
Michael J. Riley teaches finance, economics, and accounting to students in UMUC's MBA program. In addition, he has taught marketing and strategy. He has served as course manager assistant dean in the Undergraduate School at UMUC.
