The many academic journals devoted to ecocriticism have been particularly useful in placing original and contemporary scholarship in the field. Most of the ecocritical journals also publish work devoted to ecology and culture in film, sociology, philosophy, media, and women’s studies, as well as in creative writing (e.g., poetry, creative nonfiction, and short stories).
