Following his extreme popularity in the empire, his fellow politicians went for his life and he was eventually assassinated through a scheme that was plotted by Brutus and Cassius on the 15th of March, 44 BC. In conclusion therefore, it is important to note that despite his alleged dictatorship in Rome, Julius Caesar has remained a hero that has inspired not only the past generations, but also the current generations and certainly the generations to come.
