Men are doing more to support women at home and in the workplace with every passing year. I truly believe we are moving in the right direction. Other athletes and sportscasters criticized his choice, but Murphy made family his priority. A few months later, he earned his first All-Star appearance. Or he looks like John Skipper, president of ESPN Inc., who knows that to appeal to the broadest audience possible, he needs a workplace full of diverse voices. So Skipper demands that every open job have a slate of candidates that includes women and minorities. He wants the best, the brightest, and a bigger pool to choose from. Today, ESPN leads its industry in staff diversity … and is the most valuable cable franchise in the world.
